Grok Voice 3.0 arrives through the API and automatically replaces the latest alias
SpaceXAI released Grok Voice 3.0 in its speech-to-speech Voice Agent API on 14 October. The listed rate remains US$0.08 per minute, and sessions using grok-voice-latest have been switched to the new model automatically while the API contract is unchanged. Grok Voice 2.0 is deprecated, with migration to the versioned 3.0 model or latest alias documented by the provider. Company latency, deployment and benchmark claims are not independently verified performance guarantees.
Why it matters: An automatically moved model alias changes an existing application’s behaviour even when developers do not edit their integration.
Official release notes are dated 14 October 2026; the provider’s launch announcement was shared at 18:04 BST. API availability is distinct from a new universal consumer-app rollout.
Grok, Cursor and X move into a shared subscription plan family
SpaceXAI introduced The X Subscription on 12 October, with one weekly Grok-model allowance shared across Grok and Cursor. New-customer sign-ups began that day, while global availability and switching for existing SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium subscribers are rolling out; existing plans can continue unchanged for now. Grok Bot starts with the published US$30 monthly Premium tier, and third-party Cursor models require Premium or higher and separate API-price billing. The account-unification documentation says a completed switch is permanent and cannot be undone.
Why it matters: This changes entitlements and billing across several AI tools, rather than upgrading a model; customers need to check access, separate charges and the irreversible account-linking step.

Official announcement: 12 October 2026. Documentation checked on 13 October; the dated announcement does not give an event time.
Grok Bot announces a rollout of dedicated email inboxes
Grok Bot announced on 9 October that dedicated email inboxes were rolling out, with users able to request an address by asking their Bot. The announcement says team administrators must enable the feature for their teams. Original reporting describes addresses on mail.grokbot.com for agent correspondence and service sign-ups. Supported plans, sending limits and outgoing-mail approval requirements have not been publicly specified.
Why it matters: An agent-owned address is distinct from connecting a personal Gmail account. The rollout announcement does not establish universal availability or unrestricted sending permissions.
Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite receives an API availability announcement
The Grok ecosystem announced API availability for Imagine Video 1.5 Lite on 8 October, with a same-day Vercel gateway announcement. The model accepts text or images and generates clips of one to fifteen seconds with audio. Documentation lists output prices of $0.02 per second at 480p, $0.03 at 720p and $0.14 at 1080p, with a separate $0.01 image-input charge; Lite’s 1080p output is upscaled from 720p. Earlier partner listings mean this should not be read as proof of the model’s first-ever availability.
Why it matters: Developers can assess a lower-priced video option using documented output quality and billing details rather than a broad consumer-access claim.
Grok Bot adds slide deck creation and email improvements
Grok Bot version 0.68.1 adds slide deck creation with sample slides to choose from and delivery as PowerPoint files or Google Slides. The release also adds formatted email sending through draft cards, Gmail spam search and recovery, and improvements to browser and computer actions. These are Grok Bot features; some other changes in the release notes are marked as specific to Teams.
Why it matters: The release broadens Grok Bot’s practical presentation and inbox workflows.
Team Bots enter public beta on Teams and Enterprise plans
SpaceXAI announced Team Bots in public beta for Teams and Enterprise plans, bringing shared files, skills, connected apps and memories to a common agent available in the application or Slack. The company says each person’s conversations, personal context and memories remain private. This entry uses the 28 September public announcement date; the changelog records earlier Team Bot functionality on 26 September.
Why it matters: Team Bots extend Grok Bot from individual assistance into shared team workflows.
